Mpilende Foods (Pty) Ltd is a Level 1 BBBEE contributor that is 100% black youth owned and managed, and has identified food fortification as a niche in the food manufacturing sector.

Mpilende is an active member of the United Nations Systems Standing Committee on Nutrition on the Nutrition and Climate Change eGroup, and an associate member of the South African Alliance Against Malnutrition, which is the initiative of the South African Health Department and GAIN.

We are a black owned and managed company that has recognized a particular niche within the food processing industry (Food Fortification), with a special focus on the role of food in combating ill health, poverty, malnutrition and general food consumption.

Our company products have been certified to be compliant with most of the international quality management and food production systems, whilst we are in the process of establishing our own in-house laboratory facility for R&D, for a much quicker turn around in terms of products development, research, improvement and nutritional analysis and certification.

Mpilende Foods manufactures enriched food products for use on different government and food and humanitarian aid organisations, wholesale and retail consumption, with a special interest in the export of its food products to the war torn and impoverished African states as food supplements for malnutrition and supplementary food products for the escalating food prices (Food Security).
